Siobhain Duggan

Director of Innovation and Healthcare

Siobhain Duggan is Director of Innovation and Healthcare at GS1 Ireland.  Siobhain holds a Bachelors degree in International Commerce and German from UCD and has also completed all of her ACCA accounting exams. Siobhain brings a wealth of international supply chain experience to her role as well as a passion for patient safety in Healthcare.

Siobhain is currently working on a number of projects to promote the adoption of GS1 Standards for healthcare in Ireland. These include projects regarding a National Product Catalogue for Ireland to include GS1 coding and standardisation of data from Suppliers which facilitates e-Commerce and many other applications in healthcare. Existing projects relate to the serialisation of medication and Instrument trays for full supply chain visibility and increased patient safety.

Amanda Creane

Senior Manager Healthcare and Innovation

Amanda Creane joined the Healthcare Team at GS1 Ireland in April 2019. In her role with GS1 Ireland Amanda works directly with Healthcare sector organisations, including pharma and medical device companies and healthcare providers to support their initiatives to comply with regulation, deliver patient safety benefits and realise efficiencies in their operating processes.

Amanda is experienced in both Medical Devices and Pharmaceutical packaging and labelling, and, holds a strong background in traceability and anticounterfeiting in the healthcare sector having worked on related projects in both industry and academia. She holds a B.Sc in Process Plant Technology and B.Eng in Biomedical Engineering from Cork Institute of Technology. Amanda is currently completing an MSc. in ‘Leadership, Innovation and Management for Healthcare’ with University College Dublin (UCD).

Darren Corcoran

Business Analyst (Healthcare and Innovation)

Darren Corcoran joined GS1 Ireland in February 2022 and is currently in the process of completing his Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Transformation at National University of Galway. Having previously graduated from NUIG he holds a BA Degree in Arts and a HDIP in Business Studies. He recently gained a Diploma in Project Management from UCD.

In his role with GS1 Ireland Darren works with Healthcare sector organisations, including pharma and medical device companies and healthcare providers, to support their initiatives to comply with regulation, deliver patient safety benefits and realise efficiencies in their operating processes. Darren is passionate about digital transformation and how the use of traceability standards can serve the Healthcare sector.
